Research Summary

Professor YIN’s research focuses on the extraction,purification,structure determination and pharmacological activity of active substance from natural products and microorganisms,especially on the active macromolecules of polysaccharides and alkaloids. In recent years she has already hosted several national major scientific and technological projects, which incuding the preclinical studies of cordyceps sinensis polysaccharide capsules in treating chronic kidney disease and the research of sea urchin polysaccharide as a new anti-cancer drug. Besides, she has completed preclinical research of several polysaccharide drugs in collaboration with pharmaceutical companieswhich including the “spirulina polysaccharide capsules” as the second class of new durgs for increasing leukocyte, “salina polysaccharide capsules” as a new drug against influenz andthe V class of new Chinese drug “cordyceps sinensis polysaccharide capsules”,among them,two new drugsspirulina polysaccharide capsules and ordyceps sinensis polysaccharide capsules have entered the phase II clinical study.
