  • I graduated from Nantong Teachers’ College in 1988, majoring in English linguistics. From 1991 to 1993, I studied at the Second Teachers’ College of Jiangsu Province (formerly Jiangsu Institute of Education), specializing in English linguistics. I attended Nanjing Normal University in 1999, majoring in English linguistics for master’s degree. Since 1993 I’ve been working at the School of Foreign Languages in China Pharmaceutical University. In many years of teaching, I have taught so many courses like college English reading and writing, college English listening and speaking, and English grammar for English majors. My main research interests are language and culture, second language acquisition, and language history.


  • Papers include: “A View of Misunderstanding in Cross-cultural Communication”; “The Clash of Readers’ and Writers’ Cognition under the Framework Theory: A Comparative Study of Chinese and Western Cultures and Modes of Thinking”; “Defects and Countermeasures of Independent Learning Courseware”; “A Summary of the Research on the Phenomenon of Discourse Quotation” and so on.


  • The projects I have presided over and participated in include “New Teaching Model of College English and the Cultivation of Comprehensive English Ability”; “Investigation on College Students’ English Self-help Learning”; “Cultivation and Research on College English Writing Ability”; “Establishing a New Evaluation System to Promote the Development of College English Oral and Writing Ability”; “Research on Teaching and Learning of Pharmaceutical English from the Perspective of Humanities”; “Research on the Psychological Basis and Application of Knowledge by Example”; “ A Comparative Study on the Construction Model of Chinese and English Psychological Lexicon of Chinese Students”.


  • The College English Coursewas awarded as an excellent course in China Pharmaceutical University (Class I)  and Class II of outstanding courses in Jiangsu Province;

    National Social Science Foundation project (A Comparative Study on the Construction Model of Chinese and English Psychological Lexicon of Chinese Students) received the title of excellent.


  • Some books have been published like: “ Comprehensive English for Postgraduates in the 21st Century” (published by China Science and Technology Medical Press ); “English Adjective Collocation Usage”( published by Southeast University Press), and “English-Chinese Translation Methods and Trial Writing” ( published by Peking University Press).
