After obtaining a B.A. in English, Chen Jing continued to complete her M.S. and Ph.D. in Microbiology and Biochemical Pharmacy at China Pharmaceutical University. She has been working in the same university since 2007 and currently serves as an associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical English. Her initial research endeavors centered on extraction of antiviral agents from natural herbs, genetic engineering of therapeutic enzymes and delivery of peptide/protein drugs. Recently, her scholarly focus has shifted to the fields of pharmaceutical terminology, discourse analysis of pharmaceutical English, compilation of textbooks related to pharmaceutical English, and drug regulatory affairs.
