Kong Lingyi, male, Han ethnicity, born in March 1964, is a member of CPC. He obtained the Ph.D degree of Science. Now he is a professor and doctoral supervisor.

He has served as the Dean of the School of Traditional Chinese Pharmacy and the Executive vice president of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of China Pharmaceutical University (CPU). He has served as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and vice president of China Pharmaceutical University since July, 2013.

Research interests mainly include extraction and isolation of active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine and natural medicine, structure determination, structure modification, total synthesis, structure-activity relationship, target discovery and mechanism of action. He won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress, the first prize of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province, and the first prize of Natural Science of the Ministry of Education. He also won the National Innovation Prize, Wu Jiping Medical Innovation Award, and Wu Jiping-Paul Janssen Medical Pharmacy Award. He was the Winner of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth, national candidate of the New Century Millions of Talents Project, leader of the innovation team of the Ministry of Education, and national excellent teacher, discipline appraisal group members by the academic degrees committee under the State Council, the national pharmacopoeia committee, the Ministry of Education of institutions of higher learning Chinese Material medical major teaching steering committee, deputy director of the committee members, the association of professional committee of the Chinese medicine chemistry, vice President of world Chinese traditional medicine association, Chinese medical association medical modernization and transformation of clinical drug research and development, director of the professional committee members, Jiangsu province, chairman of the association.
