Prof. Dawei Deng is currently a full professor and the director of the department of biomedical engineering at China Pharmaceutical University. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Jilin University, Ph.D. from Nanjing University in 2007. Since 2008, he works at China Pharmaceutical University. He once acted as a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 2013 to 2014. His current scientific interests include fabricating advanced functional biomaterials via self-assembly, and exploring their applications for tumor theranostics by molecular optical imaging. He has published over 50 SCI papers, including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Chemistry of Materials, and Biomaterials. 1.
