  • Dr. Liu has been working on glycochemistry and glycobiology for many years and has rich research experience. Her research is focused on extraction, isolation, purification, modification of natural products like polysaccharides, dietary fibers, also including structure characterization, physicochemical properties determination, screening of bioactivities of these functional food/natural products and the interaction between drugs and food. In recent years, she is shifting her focus to bioengineering and synthetic biology. She is currently working on bioengineering and synthetic biology and combining them with glycobiology.
