Mr. Nang, is now an English teacher in the School of Foreign Languages, China Pharmaceutical University. He specializes in linguistics and applied linguistics and his major research interests focus on lexicology, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, systemic functional grammar, cognitive linguistics, etc. For over 30 years, he has been studying language, English in particular, and endeavoring to help students understand it scientifically and use it appropriately as well as accurately. He has published many books and articles related to English teaching and learning in China. Some of the courses he has offered go as follows: Introduction to Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Lexicology, Pragmatics, Reading, Writing, College English for Non-English Majors and English for M. S. Students.
