  • Through integrating comprehensive technology of molecular cell biology, immunology and disease animal model, Dr. Wang’s research mainly focused on identification and characterization of diverse key regulators playing pivotal roles in regulating early innate immune response as well as delineating the underlying molecular regulatory mechanism of innate immune that is associated with acute inflammation. His research especially focused on exploring and characterizing the roles of ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like modification (Ub, SUMO, ISG15, NEED8) in regulating cGAS-STING signaling pathway. Based on the identified key components of innate immune system, Dr. Wang has been working on lead compounds discovery by using the combination of computational approach and comprehensive natural small molecule compound library screening.
