Research Summary

Associate ProfessorHuang focuses on finding drugs or lead compounds from natural products. His current research interest is to monitor the potential of plant extracts of clinically used anticancer traditional Chinese herbs to reverse tumor cell multiple drug resistance. Especially the research in several major areas will be undertaken with the main emphasis on utilization of folk herbs (Asparagus officinalis L., Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bunge. and Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge.) for development of natural products as inhibitors of chemical carcinogenesis, biological evaluation.
