Xiaoxuan LIU received her Ph.D in 2010 from both Wuhan University in China and Aix-Marseille Univeristy in France. After her Ph.D, she joined the Cancer Research Center of Marseille and Interdisciplinary Center on Nanoscience of Marseillein France and performed research for around five years. During this period, she got two post-doctoral grants from l’Association pour la Recherche sur les Tumeurs de la Prostate (ARTP) and l’AssociationFrançaisecontre les Myopathies (AFM). On 2015, she was recruited as Specially-Appointed Professors by China Pharmaceutical University of Jiangsu Province. 

Her research interest is focus on developing multi-functional dendrimers as nanovectors for nucleic acid and drug delivery, which is interdisciplinary research programincluding chemistry, physics, biology and medicine. Originated from these research results, she has co-authored 25 publications such as AngewandteChemie International Edition, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nanoscale, Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine, and etc. Some of the results have been highlighted by Nature Chemistry and reported as frontispiece or cover story. She has participated in numerous conferences with invited oral communications and acted as reviewers for international journals such as ACS Nano, ACS Catalysis, Nanomedicine: NBM, New Journal of Chemistry, ChemBioChem and etc.
