Dr. Xiang David Li is a member of the Hong Kong Junior Academy of Sciences and a tenured professor of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Li's group is dedicated to epigenetics, chemical proteomics, medicinal chemistry, and other related research. The laboratory specializes in the integrated use of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and biophysics to reveal the biological significance of histone post-translational modifications and their regulatory mechanisms, providing new ideas and methods for epigenetic research. Since the beginning of his independent work, Dr. Li has made outstanding contributions to the field of epigenetics by leading a number of research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong. His research results have been published in Nature Chemica/Biology, Molecular Cell, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Nucleic Acids Research, Angewandte Chemie, Chemical Science, eLife, and other journals in the past decade. Chemical Science, eLife, and Cell Chemical Biology, and applied for 2 US patents.
